Phenomenal job, everyone! I'm so happy that everything went well with the first recording and that laughs were had by all. Massive thank you's to Josh and Rae for keeping the conversations flowing and being excellent hosts.
If you have any input on where you'd like to see this show go, or where it could improve, then please let us know here.
As for the format of future episodes, I want to chime in on a few things really quick:
- This is a comment for anyone who is nervous about being a future guest; though the show is centered around Kisekae and our community, it won't always be the focus. The focus of the show is you guys. This is all about our community and each of you. That doesn't mean we want a biography (though we're game for that if you want to talk about it), it just means we want to hang out and chat about whatever you want. I want to be able to brag about your work and tell you how much I love your characters, but if you want to talk about pizza, then we'll talk about pizza. Or cats. I like cats.
- Future episodes won't have quite so many people talking at once. This first episode was a testament as to why we should limit the amount of folks talking at once to around 4 at a time (though to be fair, it wasn't nearly as bad as I've heard on other podcasts). This is for two reasons: first being that there were a few moments of people talking over others (I tried editing this as much as I could, but there were some impossible edits) and background noise (this was hard for me to knock out without screwing up everyone's levels, so I apologize for losing voices a few times). If you are going to be on the episode, please find a quiet room or turn off anything that would create noise (like televisions). There were some interruptions by family members, but that's unavoidable amd inevitable so no worries there, gang! Just remember that your mics pick up lots of your surrounding noise, so please for the sake of editing, reduce the amount of noise around you while you are chatting with the hosts.
*cough cough* CLEANING NOLAN
- Contests! I was excited about getting to talk about this, but I'll have to explain it here. Yes, we will be doing contests for prizes! I will be working out details on how to accept your submissions to the contest. After everyone has submitted their work, a poll will be made determining the top 5 submissions and a random winner will be selected on the podcast. Winners will receive prizes such as monthly premium membership, DA points, or possibly other things (I dunno, maybe I paypal you $5.00 or mail you a trophy I found at Goodwill).
- If you enjoyed the episode, please follow me on Google+ so you can be a part of the next episode. As of now, plan on the episode being recorded on October 5th, 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM Eastern Standard Time. This seems to be the best time for everyone unless you all have other suggestions.
